Wu-Tang Clan To Team Up Again

East coast rap posse will release their third album in the fall, without Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Wu-Tang Clan have been in Los Angeles since last month recording songs for their third studio album, according to Tresa Sanders, vice president of media for Loud Records.

Sanders said the album, which is scheduled for release in the fall, features all the members of the Clan except Ol' Dirty Bastard. ODB is undergoing a 90-day evaluation at the California Institution for Men in Chino, Calif. He is expected to be sentenced for probation violation later this month.

Sanders also said the album is "just bringing Wu-Tang back, picking up where they left off on the first album," 1993's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

The as-yet-untitled album is the first since the group's 1997 enhanced double CD, Wu-Tang Forever, which features "Reunited" (RealAudio excerpt), with its lo-fi violin hook.

Between albums, all members of the group — the RZA, Raekwon, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, GZA, U-God, Masta Killa and Inspectah Deck — have recorded solo albums.
