Charlie Daniels Headlines Fan Fair Kickoff Concert

Fan-club confab opens week of activities in Nashville.

NASHVILLECharlie Daniels, with special guest Carolyn Corlew, will headline the 33rd annual International Fan Club Organization's Fun Fest concert.

The event, which traditionally kicks off Fan Fair Week in Nashville, is scheduled for the evening of June 11 at the Ryman Auditorium.

Artists scheduled for IFCO Fun Fest 2000 include Paul Brandt, Lynn Anderson, David Ball, Jeff Carson, Dick Hardwick, Eric Heatherly, Paul Overstreet, Michael Peterson, Blake Shelton, Sisters Wade and Wild Horses. Others are to be announced. Country music author Robert K. Oermann will host the show.

At last year's show, country music legend Earl Scruggs was a surprise performer. His wife, Louise Scruggs, a music-business pioneer as booking agent for Flatt & Scruggs, received the IFCO 1999 Tex Ritter Award for "outstanding contributions to the field of country music."

IFCO represents 350 country music and gospel fan clubs worldwide. In addition to concerts at Fan Fair and artists' booths at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, individual fan clubs will host parties, breakfasts, lunches and dinners all week.
