Harry Styles Shimmies And Shines At The 2023 Grammys

He wore a jumpsuit so sparkly, it could double as a holiday tinsel garland

Harry Styles doesn’t need a disco ball to dance — he brought all the shimmer and the shimmying to the 65th annual Grammys Sunday night (February 5) at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena. Not long after taking home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, he hit the stage to perform his Harry’s House hit “As It Was.” (Also nominated for several Grammys, including Record and Song of the Year, as it were.)

Swinging his arms wildly, sliding in rhythm with his backup dancers, Harry showed off his voice and his moves in all their glory. This is nothing new — he grooved plenty in his “As It Was” music video — but this time, he was in a jumpsuit so sparkly, it could double as a holiday tinsel garland. I mean, look at it. It’s practically blinding.

Even Shania Twain couldn’t resist the urge to get out of her seat and get moving.

And let’s take a moment to appreciate this perfectly choreographed push-and-pull embrace atop a spinning circular stage.

Harry’s House, Styles’s third studio album that came out last May, continues his artistic evolution as he explores what, exactly, it means to be a pop star without letting go of himself in the process. The fact that it not only won a Grammy but is also nominated for Album of the Year, combined with his impressive run of sold-out shows across the U.S., demonstrates that Styles has shaped his music career into something wholly his own.

“This album from start to finish has been the greatest experience of my life,” Styles said in his acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album. “From making it with two of my best friends to playing it for people, [it] has been the greatest joy I could’ve asked for.”
