Jeff Buckley Live Album Scheduled
A Jeff Buckley live album will be released May 9, the late
singer/songwriter's family announced through his Web site (www.jeffbuckley.com)
on Friday (Jan. 21). The still-untitled album will feature versions of
seven songs from Buckley's critically acclaimed Grace (1994) and
several unreleased originals. Buckley drowned in the Mississippi
River in Memphis, Tenn., in June 1997. Another posthumous CD, Sketches
for My Sweetheart the Drunk, featuring songs intended for the follow-up
to Grace, was released in 1998. The track listing for the live
album, which was verified by a Columbia Records spokesperson, is: "Dream Brother,"
"I Woke Up in a Strange Place," "Mojo Pin," "Lilac Wine," "What Will You
Say," "Last Goodbye," "Eternal Life," "Grace," "Mood Swing Whiskey," "The
Man That Got Away," "Kanga Roo" and "Hallelujah/I Know It's Over."
