Eighteen-year-old guitar genius Jonny Lang will show fans how the blues are really supposed to sound during his three-week trek across the States with blues-rock belter Beth Hart. Lang's latest album, Wander This World (1998), melded his blues sound with R&B, rock and soul.

Venice, Calif., "junk rock" quintet Sumack are roaming the States this month with twisted Maryland rockers Jimmie's Chicken Shack and the beautiful pop-rock stylings of Joydrop (beginning Jan. 10). Sumack's latest album, This Is Junk Rock, was released in June.

Unlike many of today's teenage recording artists, none of the girls in Canadian punk quartet Kittie was ever a Mouseketeer. Catch these embittered high-schoolers on tour this month with alt-metal band Slipknot. Kittie's full-length debut, the aptly titled Spit, is due Jan. 11.
