Punk-rock trio Sleater-Kinney will head back to the studio in
December to record their fifth album, due in April, a spokesperson for
the group said. John Goodmanson, who produced Call the Doctor
(1995) and Dig Me Out (1997), will return for the new disc. "They
have almost all of the record written," spokesperson Julie Butterfield
said Monday (Nov. 8). Among the tracks slated for the release are "Milkshake
and Honey," "Pompeii" and "You're No Rock 'n' Roll Fun." In the meantime,
an outtake from the band's latest disc, the Roger
Moutenot–produced The Hot Rock (1999), will be included
on Jackson's Jukebox, a sampler from the Kill Rock Stars label.
That album is due in January.
