The wife of Los Lobos singer/guitarist Cesar Rosas has been

missing since Saturday night and her half-brother, Gabriel Gomez, has

been charged with allegedly kidnapping her, the Los Angeles sheriff's

department said Monday (Oct. 25). Sandra Ann Rosas' daughters returned

to their Rowland Heights, Calif., home Saturday night and found the front

door open and their mother missing along with her 1996 Chevrolet van,

authorities said. The van has been recovered. One of the daughters called

Sandra Ann, 47, on her cellular phone and overheard a conversation leading

her to believe her mother was being held against her will, according to

officials, who said one of the voices allegedly was Gomez's. Cesar was

touring with Los Lobos but has since returned home. His publicist could

not be reached for comment by press time.
