Stereolab Announce Dates For U.S. Tour
Euro-synth band Stereolab have announced dates for their U.S. tour in
support of their latest album, Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage
in the Milky Night.
The tour kicks off Nov. 8 in Hoboken, N.J., and runs through Dec. 16 at
New York's Irving Plaza.
Known for their unique blend of droning synthesizers and airy vocals,
Stereolab built a following by combining often-overlooked influences like
movie soundtracks and analog synthesizers into moody, droning pop songs
such as "Blue Milk" (RealAudio
excerpt).
The band, which formed in 1992, gained a cult following by mining the
lost vein of retro-styled space-age sounds.
