East Coast techno DJ Josh Wink is touring the U.S. in support of his current mix CD, Profound Sounds Vol. 1, according to a Ruffhouse Records press release. The tour, which began Friday, will continue through November, wrapping up Nov. 20 at the Ice House/Silver Room in Phoenix. The "Profound Sounds" CD series will be commercial releases of underground mix tapes circulated by club DJs. Wink is best known for his 1998 album Herehear, which included vocals by such guests as poet Ursula Rucker and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor.
