George Michael Bares Soul For NetAid Coverage
Following through on his promise to bare all if the British tabloids
helped him promote NetAid, pop singer George Michael on Saturday
(Sept. 18) gave exclusive interviews in which he said he had not had sex
with a woman for a decade but would like "to bed" Tom Cruise and Nicole
Kidman, Reuters reported. Michael promised last week to answer any
question in return for "compassionate coverage" of NetAid's initiative
to raise money for the world's poor. In one interview he called the $20
million lawsuit filed by the policeman who arrested him for masturbating
in public last year "ludicrous." "They hope I'll pay to settle but I've
no intention of doing that," he reportedly said. Michael claimed Beverly
Hills, Calif., officer Marcelo Rodriguez — who alleges Michael
slandered him in interviews — had tried to entrap him by waving his
genitals in front of him.
