Nominees for this year's Mercury Music Prize include rockers Blur, Stereophonics and the Manic Street Preachers; electronica acts Underworld and the Chemical Brothers; and neo-folkie Beth Orton. The nominations were announced in London on Tuesday (July 27). The award, given annually to recognize the best album from the UK or Ireland, will be presented Sept. 7.
