Cat Power (a.k.a. singer/songwriter Chan Marshall) is

touring the U.S. through the end of May. In 1997 Marshall said she had

decided to leave music after finding the indie-rock scene

"overwhelming," but she returned last year with the well-received

Moon Pix album. She'll perform in Seattle and Bellingham, Wash.,

on Thursday (May 13) and Friday (May 14), respectively, before moving

on to Chicago, Toronto, New York and Atlanta.
