Queen Reportedly Re-Forming

Theatrical British rockers Queen are planning to re-form and record

together eight years after the AIDS-related death of singer Freddie

Mercury, Britain's Press Association reported. Drummer Roger

Taylor told the Express newspaper he and guitarist Brian

May have discussed heading into the studio this year and plan to "write a

song and see what happens." Taylor also reportedly said he has not spoken to

drummer John Deacon "in ages, but Brian and I are hopeful he will do

it." A singer for the project has not been chosen yet. "The plan ... is to write the

song first and then find the best voice for it," Taylor was quoted as saying. Pop

star George Michael performed Queen's "Somebody to Love" with the

band during a 1992 tribute concert to Mercury.
