R.E.M. To Score 'Man On The Moon'

R.E.M. will be writing the score and a new song for the forthcoming Milos
Forman film "Man On The Moon," starring Hole singer Courtney Love
and actor/comedian Jim Carrey, according to the band's manager Bertis Downs. The
movie, which will be out next fall, is a biopic about the late comedian Andy Kaufman and
took its title from an R.E.M. song originally included in 1992's Automatic for the
People LP. It will be the first time R.E.M. will score a film.
