Days of the New frontman Travis Meeks is in Los Angeles

working on a new album with former R.E.M. producer Scott

Litt, a publicist for the band said Monday (Feb. 8). Meeks is

using a variety of musicians on the album while developing a new

lineup for the hard-rock band, the publicist said. Guitarist Todd

Whitener, bassist Jesse Vest and drummer Matt Taul,

who played on Days of the New's self-titled 1997 debut, are no longer

with the band.
