Digable Planets co-founder Ishmael Butler will release his

debut solo album, Ishmael Since 1999, this summer. The album is

being co-produced by the rapper, who was known as Butterfly

during his tenure with the short-lived, jazzy hip-hop trio. Digable

Planets disbanded in 1996 after two albums.
