Bauhaus Covered By Japanese Bands

Pioneering goth-rock band Bauhaus is getting the tribute album treatment from 13 Japanese rock and industrial bands. Satori -- A Tribute to Bauhaus is due from CreativeMan Disc on Jan. 26. It features rocker Screaming Mad George's take on "Stigmata Martyr," Japanese Goth diva Fiction's "In the Flat Field," Speed-ID's version of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" and cult rockers Maumi Chiwaki and Pilar Stupa's "A Slice of Life." "Satori" is a Buddhist word meaning enlightenment or awakening.
