Oasis are to play their own MTV Unplugged gig tonight (Aug. 23rd)

at London's Roundhouse. The location is supposed to be a secret, and even one

member of the Creation Records staff (Oasis are signed to Creation) admitted

they didn't know where the performance would be held, although the show was

confirmed yesterday by the group's publicity representatives. Four hundred fans

from around the UK will get to see their favorite band in this intimate

setting. The lucky few were chosen through local newspaper competitions.

Tickets for this gig are so rare that even people who work for Oasis are

finding it difficult to get a hold of them. So, unless you're either in the

band or a lucky winner you'll have to wait until the autumn to see the results

of this rare performance. Rumors were flying that Evan Dando, Johnny Depp, Paul

McCartney, Paul Weller, and/or Robbie Williams would make special guest

appearances. Our guess? It' will be Oasis, and Oasis only. Noel Gallagher isn't

particularly keen on sharing the spotlight.
