Our favorite bass player/singer/songwriter Mike Watt

begins a bunch of cool gigs tonight. The former member of the Minutemen and

fIREHOSE, who is a buddy of Eddie Vedder and the Seattle crowd, does one of his

double bass shows with his wife, former Black Flag bassist Kira Roessler, who

together play under the name Dos, tonight (Friday, May 10) at the Alligator

Lounge in Santa Monica. Tuesday, May 14, Watt performs solo and with Bullfiddle

( four! stand-up basses) at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. Saturday, May 25,

the you'll find Dos at Sacred Grounds in San Pedro for an all ages show. Then

it's the Madonnabes (the Madonna cover band with Watt on Bass) at the Jabberjaw

in L.A. on May 31. Finally, another all ages Dos thing at the Showcase Theater

in Corona on June 1. And, a brand new Dos CD, Justamente Tres is out

June 23 on Kill Rock Stars. Yes!
