PJ Harvey Show Draws Rockers
British songstress PJ Harvey's private show at the Viper Room in Los Angeles
Tuesday brought out the likes of hip-hop folkie Beck, Red Hot Chili
Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis, Wallflowers leader Jakob
Dylan and bassist Twiggy Ramirez from goth-gone-glam-rockers
Marilyn Manson, but fans who heard about the show on the radio were left out in
the cold, with the venue allowing in only six customers before Harvey's 10 p.m.
showtime. "I think they should make these things half-and-half -- half industry, half fans,"
said 24-year-old Luis Albarenga, who waited in line for nearly three hours. "This sucks,"
echoed another. Disgruntled fans can try to catch Harvey again at her 7 p.m. in-store
appearance Thursday (Oct. 15) at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Boulevard.
