Billy Joel Reschedules Fall Tour

Billy Joel has confirmed new dates for his canceled fall tour, beginning in Philadelphia on Nov. 6 and 8. The piano man had canceled a summer tour with Elton John, then canceled an eight-show fall U.S. tour, citing a throat ailment. "My doctor is encouraged by the progress I've made, but he wants to be sure that I am 100 percent before I step out onstage again," Joel said in a late August statement. The rescheduled tour dates are: Nov. 6 and 8 in Philadelphia, Nov. 12 in Cleveland, Nov. 16 in Pittsburgh, Nov. 18 in Detroit, Nov. 22 in Chicago, Dec. 9 in Hartford, Conn., and Dec. 11 in Syracuse, N.Y.
