Ringo Plays Russia
Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr became the first ex-moptop to
play in the former Soviet Union this week when he performed with his All-Starr
Band in Moscow, according to a spokesperson for the ex-Beatles member. Along
with All-Starr Band members Peter Frampton, ex-Cream bassist
Jack Bruce and Procol Harum keyboardist Gary Brooker, Starr
played such Beatles classics as "With a Little Help From My Friends" and "Yellow
Submarine" to a sold-out crowd of 2,400.
