Nicki Minaj Laughs In The Face Of Basic Bitches On New Fetty Wap Song

‘I only respect them hoes that own they own plane’

Nicki Minaj has been on a roll lately. Recent weeks have given us a freestyle of Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” called “Black Barbies,” plus “Ain’t Gone Do It,” a new track released in conjunction with her mobile game Nicki Minaj: The Empire.

Now, Nicki’s teamed up with Fetty Wap for a fresh, island-flavored cut called “Like a Star.” The New Jersey rapper lends his warbling flow to the upbeat chorus, while Nicki comes through with a predictably boastful verse. “Who better than Nicki, man? I can’t effin’ tell / Every time I drop, bitches like FML / Hahaha, you in the game? I own my own game / I only respect them hoes that own they own plane,” she spits, further likening herself to Mike Tyson and reminding us that she “used to be a bitch, but I nicened up.”

“Like a Star” has been a long time coming — Nicki teased the collab back in October during an interview on The Breakfast Club, saying, “I love a lot of the new guys, too. I feel like they’re super fun. I love Lil Uzi Vert, I love the melodies. I love Fetty. I did something with Fetty that’s gonna come out soon that I think is super dope.”

While Nicki is (hopefully) prepping the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint, Fetty recently released the mixtape Zoovier and plans to deliver his sophomore album, King Zoo, soon.
