On Modern Family, Haley Dunphy turns up as a successful party promoter. But in real life, actress Sarah Hyland could be the musician playing at those parties instead of the person sending out invites.

Hyland has teamed up with rock band Boyce Avenue for a cover of The Chainsmokers's "Closer," tackling Halsey's verse as lead vocalist Alejandro Manzano sings Drew Taggart's parts.

"We've heard Sarah Hyland's singing talent in the makeup trailer for almost eight years," Eric Stonestreet, who plays Haley's Uncle Cam on Modern Family, tweeted when the video dropped Sunday (November 13). Hyland has also shared videos playing guitar and singing on Instagram, but this is her most official music venture since her bit in the 1999 remake of Annie.

Hyland also collaborated with Boyce Avenue for a cover of Maroon 5's "Don't Wanna Know," available on Volume 4 of their Cover Collaborations EP collection.

"Thank you so much Boyce Avenue for asking me to collaborate with you guys!" Hyland wrote on Instagram. "I've been dreaming of doing this since I was 19 years old!" Keep your fingers crossed that this means more music is in her future.
