Rihanna Asks Fans To Help Find Her Missing Backup Dancer

Shirlene Quigley reportedly sent a mysterious message to a friend before she went missing

UPDATE (10/25/16, 5:40 p.m. ET): Police have reportedly located Shirlene Quigley, according to a tweet from New Jersey's North Bergen Police Department: "She is safe and being treated at an undisclosed location." North Bergen police also said Quigley's father is "in route from Los Angeles to reunite with his daughter" on Instagram. Missy Elliott confirmed Quigley's safety on Twitter as well.

Shirlene Quigley, a backup dancer who has performed with Rihanna and Beyoncé, has been reported missing in New York.

The New Jersey–based dancer was last seen boarding a bus at Port Authority at 1 a.m. Sunday (October 23), according to her father (via NBC New York). Quigley and her father talk on the phone every day at the same time. When she didn't call him one day, he quickly became concerned.

The 32-year-old dancer had reportedly sent a mysterious comment to a friend recently: "Get ready, it's about to happen and I'm going to need you to sub for me." Quigley's phone was reportedly discovered in a Chelsea bridal shop shortly after she was reported missing.

Last night (October 24), Rihanna reposted one of Quigley's Instagram videos, urging her followers to call police with any information. Missy Elliott, who has worked with Quigley in the past, also posted a call for information on Twitter and Instagram.

Quigley began her career as one of Beyoncé's backup dancers in the 2003 "Crazy in Love" video. Recently she taught her own high-heel dance classes in Los Angeles and then in New York.
