The 'Gilmore Girls' Set That Made Jared Padalecki Nostalgic Might Surprise You

This one’s for Rory and Dean shippers (LOL)

Gilmore Girls isn’t just a show. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a religion. And for those involved in making the show, it’s family.

In honor of the 16th anniversary of Gilmore Girls’ series premiere on The WB (R.I.P. Michigan J. Frog), Netflix is taking fans on a trip down memory lane with the cast of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. In a brand-new featurette, the cast — including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki, and Matt Czuchry — reflect on the magic of Gilmore Girls and what made a show about a mother and daughter living in a kooky town so damn special.

Plus, it’s full of fun tidbits, from the exact moment Patterson (Luke) knew Gilmore Girls was “gonna work” to the iconic Rory and Dean set that made Padalecki (Dean) wax nostalgia on the set of the Netflix revival. Not to mention, these on-set interviews were presumably conducted while the cast was in character, so read into Czuchry's (Logan) festively fall attire what you will. (Hey, maybe it’s a Life and Death Brigade reunion!)

It’s official: October is the now the most magical, and most Gilmore Girls-iest, time of the year. (That is, until November.)

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life hits Netflix on November 25, 2016.
