Mac Miller Reveals What Brought Him And Ariana Grande Closer Together

Most gushing bae ever, tbh

Ask Mac Miller to describe his relationship with Ariana Grande, and he’ll waste no time waxing poetic about his “best friend in the world.”

The rapper recently opened up to People about the coupledom henceforth known as #Maciana, and it sounds like they simply picked up where they left off three years ago, when they collaborated on Ari’s breakout hit “The Way.”

“It was great. There was no awkwardness or weirdness, it was how it always was,” he explained about reuniting with the self-proclaimed dangerous woman. “Just both of us older, more mature, and more sure of ourselves. When we first recorded together we were young and figuring it out, which we still are, but now seeing her growth and my growth — it’s great.”

The pair recently reunited for “My Favorite Part,” a sultry duet from Mac’s upcoming album. Though he says he wrote it before he even knew Ari would be on it, it ended up being the magic thing that brought them closer together.

“We made that song and started becoming close again. It's very dope and I like how that worked out,” he said, adding, “Everything just happened organically. We love making music together – we do that always. But she’s my best friend in the world.”

As for what exactly their newly evolved relationship entails, it sounds like they’re quite the adventurous couple.

“She’s just very warm and comforting,” Mac said. “She’s very caring but, also, we have a lot of fun. We go on adventures. Adventures can be driving around in the car aimlessly. It’s great to be able to do nothing and be doing so much.”

That’s true, Mac ... but if you wanted to share some pics of you and your “baby’s” so-called adventures with us on Instagram or Snapchat, we wouldn’t be mad at all. We need more #Maciana in our lives, please.
