Remember when, back in March, Selena Gomez got stuck in an elevator during Paris Fashion Week? Well, apparently her cautionary tale wasn’t enough for Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who suffered a similar snafu during New York Fashion Week on Thursday (September 8).

Yep, it really happened. Here’s the “Kylie in crisis” pic to prove it:

The sisters, along with their friends Hailey Baldwin and Jordyn Woods, got trapped in an apartment building elevator on their way to some high-fashion function (probably), and documented the dramatic saga on Snapchat.

Here’s Kylie setting the scene: “So my worst nightmare just happened. We are stuck in an elevator.”

And here’s our girl Ky taking a mirror selfie while Kendall, apparently the proactive one of the bunch, attempts to, ya know, actually fix their problem. (Guess now we know which sister we’d rather be with during a life-or-death situation.)

“We’re actually stuck in an elevator in real life, like I never thought this would actually happen,” Kendall astutely observes in another clip. “I’m genuinely so terrified and hungry.”

The girls were seemingly trapped for close to an hour before firefighters came to their rescue. Naturally, they snagged a photo op with their hunky heroes, letting us know they’re back safe on solid ground. Whew!

And thus, our hour-long national nightmare is over. Proceed with your lives as usual.
