While traveling the world on their epic Sounds Live Feels Live tour, the guys of 5 Seconds of Summer took time to recognize one of their biggest and bravest fans.

Georgia Buckingham, a 16-year-old from New Zealand who’s battling leukemia, was told she’d be too sick to attend 5SOS’s concert in Sydney next month. So her fellow fans rallied behind her and set up the hashtag #5SOSNoticeGeorgia. It worked, and the band got in touch with Georgia via Skype and sent her a sweet video that she shared on Twitter.

In one happy update to Georgia’s story, she and her family are vacationing in Sydney this week, where “a few surprises” await her, according to a donation page set up by her sister.

The New Zealand Herald reports that Georgia previously met 5SOS last year through the Make A Wish Foundation. Clearly, she’s become close with the band — and hopefully she’ll see them again soon, just like Ashton Irwin said.
