Thanks To Desiigner, Giant Pandas Are No Longer Endangered

Giant pandas are officially off the endangered list — and we all know which rapper we can thank.

Thanks to conservation efforts, the giant panda population rebounded 17 percent over a decade, meaning they’re no longer endangered (just vulnerable). And Desiigner, whose breakout single “Panda” dominated the charts this year, is happy to take some of the credit.

Desiigner responded to the news with an emoji-heavy tweet on Monday (September 5).

And in case you thought he was taking too much credit just for rapping the word “panda” continuously for months, the Word Wildlife Fund actually thanked Desiigner personally for the recent uptick in panda bears.

There you have it: Desiigner saved the pandas. Thanks, Desiigner!
