Usher And Future Make Atlanta Their Playground In New ‘Rivals’ Video
After showing off his sleekest choreography in the Young Thug–assisted “No Limit” video, Usher is taking a more chill approach for “Rivals,” his first official collaboration with Future.
Despite what its title may suggest, the slow-burning number doesn’t pit Usher and Future against each other. Instead, the Atlanta natives connect by cruising their hometown together while doing best friend things: hitting up a backyard barbecue and a smoky hookah lounge, and sipping on dirty Sprite while trading verses about dirty love.
The video premiered exclusively on Tidal, which also gets a fitting shout-out on the song: “Call your baby that’s only on Tidal / 'Cause I don’t need no more rivals / I put that on the Bible.”
Tidal members can watch the full video here, and nonmembers can see a 30-second preview below.
“Rivals” appears on Usher’s upcoming eighth studio album, Hard II Love, which drops September 16.
