Future Was The Secret Behind Michael Phelps’s Infamous #Phelpsface

Phelps revealed his secret while introducing Future’s VMA performance

MTV News cover star Future made it rain at the 2016 VMAs when he performed “Fuck Up Some Commas.”

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps introduced Future’s performance. “There’s no rapper today more inspiring than Future. His optimism is in his name,” he said. “Remember in Rio when I made that face that was all over the internet? I was in my zone with Future’s ‘Stick Talk.’”

Well, now we finally know the answer to the mystery of what was blaring through those earbuds.

Future, who released his most recent album EVOL in February, took a night off from his Summer Sixteen tour with Drake to grace the VMA stage with a posse of air guitarists. Both Hendrix and his dancers rocked all-red ensembles, bringing to mind Kanye West’s 2010 performance of “Runaway.”
