Ariana Grande is counting minutes until she heads to Madison Square Garden to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, and she gave Arianators a first glimpse at what we can expect for her return to the VMA stage.
As we previously announced, Ariana won't be heading to the VMAs alone: She'll be performing alongside Nicki Minaj for “Side to Side,” their duet off her third album, Dangerous Woman. We're thrilled that the pair are reuniting — they performed their hit with Jessie J, “Bang Bang,” at the 2014 VMAs — and it appears that Ariana's just as stoked.
She then shared a slow-mo shot of her fanning herself on Twitter, rocking heels that are just as high as those she was sporting during rehearsal. The video for “Side to Side” will be dropping later this evening as well, so keep your eyes peeled for it following “Side to Side” live at the VMAs. What's that bike emoji all about, AG?
Ariana isn't just attending the VMAs as a performer, but a nominee: Her video for “Into You” is up for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video, and her clip with Lil Wayne for “Let Me Love You” could take home the Moonman for Best Collaboration Video.
Tune in to the 2016 VMAs, live from New York on Sunday, August 28, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
