Just a week after announcing her split from Gregg Sulkin, Bella Thorne has come out as bisexual.

The actress did so without pomp and circumstance, simply replying “yes” to a fan who asked her, “are you bisexual?” on Twitter.

It didn’t take long for Thorne’s 6.4 million followers to chime in. Many of them flooded the Scream alum with supportive messages, prompting her to send another tweet thanking fans for their love.

Thorne and Faking It star Sulkin announced their breakup on August 15 after more than a year of dating, saying in a joint statement, “Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best.”

According to Just Jared, photos of the 18-year-old actress kissing another girl recently circulated on Snapchat, initiating rumors about her sexuality. Not that she owed anyone an explanation, but good for her for speaking up openly and proudly.
