Adele Has A Cold And Can’t Stop Apologizing For It

'I'm really, really sorry to let anyone down'

It's easy to forget Adele, with her angelic voice and perfect eyeliner, is a mere mortal just like the rest of us. But she is, in fact, human, and humans need sick days. For Adele, August 17 was one of them.

"I can't do my show tonight," Adele told fans on Instagram after canceling her second concert in Phoenix, Arizona. "I'm really, really sorry. I've had a cold for a couple days and I've been pushing through it, and I did my show last night and I loved it. But I pushed too hard and my cold has gotten the better of me."

We've all been there, Adele. The show was promptly rescheduled for November, and those who can't attend the new date will be refunded for their ticket. Despite this, she kept apologizing.

"I'm really, really, really, really, really sorry to let anyone down. I've enjoyed my tour so much and canceling shows has not been something I want to do, and I've pushed through a lot of things. But I've been trying to sing all morning and warming up and nothing's really happening."

"It's the last thing I want to do, but i have to look after myself. I've got so many more shows to do," she continued. "Have a wonderful evening without me." 😭

Get well soon, queen!
