Amy Lee — frontwoman of Evanescence, the band known for dark, brooding alt-rock hits like 2003’s “Bring Me to Life” — has a new record coming out next month that’ll definitely surprise fans.

It’s called Dream Too Much, and its title track is all about sleeping and never, ever waking up inside. Oh, and it’s a children's album. Yes, really.

Jack, her 2-year-old son with husband Josh Hartzler, partly inspired the new music. Lee teamed up with her dad, a guitarist, to create some G-rated tunes for the little one.

“Dad has always been talking about making some kid songs for Jack to have later in life,” Lee told Rolling Stone. “[Josh suggested,] ‘You guys should just do it, get in the studio together, you’ve never been in the studio together, you’re both musicians.’”

That’s how Dream Too Much came to be. In fact, the whole family reportedly pitched in, with additional vocals provided by Amy’s sisters Carrie and Lori. Other songs from the album include “Rubber Duckie” from Sesame Street and a cover of the Beatles’ “Hello Goodbye.”

But fear not, Evanescence fans; your badass singer isn’t done making grown-up music just yet. “I’m going to focus on the next thing being ... more centered around my adult music career,” Lee said.
