Leslie Jones has found her partner in “Star-Spangled Banner”–belting, flag-waving, Michael Phelps–cheering crime at the Olympics, and it’s looking like they’re getting along all right, all right, all right.

Matthew McConaughey was hanging out by the pool and checking out the U.S. Olympic swim team Thursday (August 11) when he was joined by Jones, who had arrived in Rio de Janeiro to offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the games just a few hours prior. As thrilled as Jones is to be meeting her favorite athletes, she seems just as stoked to hang with the Oscar-winner.

McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, were spotted in the stands at Olympic Aquatics Stadium before Jones made her appearance to hang with the off-duty American Olympians that had come to cheer on Phelps, Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, and the other H2O-lovin’ champions from the States.

Considering how many records were broken and historic moments took place in the time they spent with the U.S. swim team, it’s safe to say both Jones and McConaughey had a tough-to-top first day at the Olympics.
