After Isaiah Rashad’s ‘Free Lunch,’ Is A Full Meal (Er, Album) On The Way?

It’s his first release since January

As has become ritual for Top Dawg Entertainment artists, Isaiah Rashad has been taking his time on his new project. His debut, Cilvia Demo, dropped back in January 2014, and though there's still no release date on the follow-up, Zay took a step in that direction on Sunday.

"Free Lunch" is just the Tennessee native's second release of 2016 — following January's "Smile" — and shows that he hasn't lost a step in the time away from the public eye.

A day before the track dropped, TDE's CEO, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, tweeted out a date, just weeks away, that had many speculating that there's a new release from the label on the horizon.

Is the release of "Free Lunch" a hint that that date could be pegged to Isaiah's sophomore release?
