Action Bronson And Dan Auerbach Are An Unlikely Dynamic Duo On New 'Suicide Squad' Song

Awesome things happen when two of music's best beards join forces

Another cut from the stacked Suicide Squad soundtrack has arrived, ramping up hype for the supervillain movie’s big-screen release this Friday.

Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, Action Bronson, and Mark Ronson have all linked up on “Standing in the Rain," a slick reinterpretation of Oran “Juice” Jones’s ’80s hit “The Rain." It may seem like an odd match-up, but Auerbach’s bluesy hook, Ronson’s throwback soul beat, and Bronson’s bonkers bars combine for a blues-rock/hip-hop hybrid perfect for soundtracking trouble.

In an interview following the song’s premiere on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, Ronson revealed the song plays during a pivotal scene with Will Smith’s Deadshot. He kept mum on further details, but all will be revealed when Suicide Squad hits theaters this Friday, August 5. The film’s soundtrack drops on the same day, featuring new songs by Kehlani, Eminem, Kevin Gates, and more.
