The Justice League Assembles In First Trailer — But The Flash Steals The Show

Please don’t sit in Barry Allen’s second favorite chair

Warner Bros. assembled the Justice League at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday to premiere the very first footage from the highly anticipated film — and good news: It looks awesome. Regardless of what you thought about Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the teaser trailer makes it very clear that Justice League is a different kind of movie. After all, director Zack Snyder has a secret weapon, and his name is Ezra Miller.

The upcoming film brings together DC Comics heroes Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Miller), Superman (Henry Cavill), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) for their first big-screen adventure. Based on this early teaser — which was undoubtedly cut with a lighter tone in mind — it looks like Justice League will be a spotlight for Miller’s Scarlet Speedster, whose natural charisma is a nice counterbalance to Affleck’s surly Bruce Wayne.

However, the highlight of the teaser is definitely the moment Bruce Wayne turns to Aquaman and smirks: “I hear you can talk to fish?”

OK, Snyder. You have our attention. Don’t fuck it up.

Justice League hits theaters Nov. 17, 2017.
