Though he’s usually spotted carpooling on the streets of L.A., James Corden made a special detour to D.C. for last night’s (July 20) historic edition of Carpool Karaoke.

The one and only Michelle Obama sat in the passenger seat as Corden drove around the White House grounds. As FLOTUS, she hasn’t really gotten the chance to jam out in the car for a while, so she was more than happy to belt some Stevie Wonder and, of course, Beyoncé.

Mrs. Obama is something of a musician herself, too. In March, she debuted the charity single “This Is For My Girls” with Zendaya, Janelle Monáe, and Missy Elliott — who just so happened to be in D.C. the same day that Corden dropped by.

Missy hopped in the back seat for a sing-along to “This Is For My Girls,” as well as her own classic single “Get Ur Freak On,” which of course Michelle knew all the words to.

Once FLOTUS leaves the White House, can her next gig be this supergroup?
