Maisie Williams Doesn't Want Arya To Reunite With The Starks

‘She's better off on her own’

For years, Game of Thrones fans prayed to the Old Gods and the New for a Stark family reunion. This finally happened in Season 6, with Sansa Stark running into her brother cousin Jon Snow's arms. But what about young Arya, who reclaimed her name from the Many-Faced God and avenged Catelyn and Robb's deaths?

"I'd love for her to be a bit of a lone ranger — kind of like the Hound," actress Maisie Williams, who plays the youngest Stark daughter, told People in a recent interview. "I don't really want her to reunite with her family."

Wait, what?! Are you sure that milk of the poppy didn't go to your head, Maisie? This must make you the only person ever who isn't sitting, waiting, wishing for the Starks's happily ever after. That is, as much of a happy ending they can get after enduring so much bloodshed throughout the series.

Williams's reasoning? "I don't think that they're the same people anymore, or that she's the same person anymore. I think she's better off on her own."

Sure, Arya's come a long way since her Winterfell days. She learned her way around a sword. She's quick on her feet and can literally fight off her enemies with her eyes closed. She's killed — but so has Sansa. And Bran's been warging his way around Westeros. Clearly all the Stark siblings have done some growing up, but that doesn't mean they don't need each other to make it through this brutal winter.

Ned Stark said it best: "When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."
