Curren$y Is On An Absurd Mixtape Release Streak Right Now

And continues it with Stoned on Ocean

Curren$y has long been viewed as one of rap's most prolific rappers, but things are getting ridiculous now: After dropping his album, Canal Street Confidential, in December, Spitta has released a new project every month of 2016. He kept that streak alive this week with Stoned on Ocean.

The set is entirely produced by Cool & Dre, which was the same pair that brought the beats for January's The Owners Manual. And fittingly, it was recorded, according to Curren$y, during "one smoked out night in Miami" -- the production duo's hometown. The results are some classically mellow vibes and jams from Spitta, his co-pilots, and guests Wiz Khalifa and Styles P.

And though it was recorded in just one night, Curren$y has many, many memories of being stoned on Ocean Drive in South Beach (somehow, he didn't forgot these in the haze):

In case you're in need of a quick refresher, here's what's come before Stoned on Ocean this year: January's The Owners Manual; February's Alchemist-produced The Carrollton Heist; March's Weed & Instrumentals; Revolver, produced by Sledgren, also released in March; the Purps-produced April release Bourbon Street Secrets; and May's The Legend of Harvard Blue.

When will this dude slow down? Not that I'm hoping that happens.
