23 Celebs Who've Seen 'Hamilton' (And You Aren't One Of Them)
Since Hamilton debuted on Broadway last year, the music world — not to mention social media at large — has been forever changed. But with Lin-Manuel Miranda's show in such high demand (those 11 Tonys speak for themselves), tickets sell out in record time. At this point, traveling to the year 2121 to meet Phil Diffy is more likely to happen to you than getting to see Hamilton.
So it kills us a little inside when celebs manage to score tickets and later say, "Go see Hamilton, OMG. Best musical ever. Changed my life," when that's what we've been trying to do for months. Here's just a small sample of celebs who've seen Alexander Hamilton and the rest of the founding fathers in action.
"About to watch Hamilton or whatever," the Blink-182 singer hilariously captioned on his own Instagram.
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit boss has been to Hamilton many, many, many times, and several cast members have guest-starred on the hit crime series.
"There is something incredibly magical happening at The Public Theater. I am speechless. See Hamilton," he wrote. WOULD IF WE COULD, ZACH.
"Hip Hop History!! Don't Sleep on this!!," Jackson posted after attending opening night.
The Trainwreck star hashtagged her hot take.
Unfortunately, Winfrey didn't take her No. 1 fan, Josh Peck, with her to the show.
"Better the second time!" Ruffalo captioned. *Sigh*
It's unclear if Paul brought Corn Pops to snack on during the show's intermission.
About a month later, Paul's Breaking Bad costar went and saw Hamilton and Burr duel it out.
The iCarly star was so excited and speechless that she only captioned, "😁."
"Blown away by @hamiltonmusical," the former DCOM star and current Flash actress captioned.
Will, Jada Pinkett, and Willow Smith — and Nick Jonas
But where is Jaden?
Oh, here he is. He saw the show before his family and apparently brought a bodyguard with him.
Kaling snapped a pic with star Leslie Odom Jr., and later regretted not getting a pic with Daveed Diggs.
Odom Jr. recounted a story about the time Rhimes almost got in a fight with Art Garfunkel at a Hamilton showing.
The First Family (sans FLOTUS) saw the show back in July 2015, and both POTUS and FLOTUS have each seen it twice, though not at the same time. Recently, the Hamilton cast performed at the White House, because duh.
So much slaying in one photo.
