If you're a Nick Jonas fan, the chance to meet him would probably make your heart explode. But meeting him and brightening the day of kids in need? Well, that pretty much tops everything, as one of the singer's biggest fans, Courtney, found out after winning MTV and Applebee’s Ultimate Fan Experience.

The UFE went in search of the ultimate Nick superfan to team up with him for a totally worthy cause: bringing smiles to the young patients at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in California. MTV was there as Courtney, the lucky winner, spent a day late last month doing some good with Jonas, whose latest album, Last Year Was Complicated, was released on Friday (June 10).

Courtney flew to Cali to meet her favorite artist before volunteering for a purpose close to both of their hearts. Coincidentally, both Nick and Courtney regularly meet with children who are forced to spend much of their time in hospitals. "It gives you perspective, and when you can do it with cool people like [Courtney], it’s even better," Nick said. [Swoon.]

After their visit to the hospital — and just when you thought Nick couldn’t be more of a gentleman — he surprised Courtney with tickets to one of his concerts. (We told you this would be the Ultimate Fan Experience!)
