When Disney Channel star Skai Jackson tweeted a rather poised picture of herself before an interview back in April, she had no idea what would follow: memes on memes on memes. There's no controlling the Internet, after all.

"When I saw my favorite meme account, like 3.14 [posted it]" Jackson told Shine On Media in the video below. "I'm like, oh my god, now I know it's real. I made it."

Jackson also explained how the viral photo, taken by her hair stylist, came to be. At the time, she was about to go on Fox 5 to discuss her role in the upcoming Jessie spin-off, Bunk’d.

"I was actually in New York," Jackson revealed. "It was like, really early there, like 6 a.m., which is really 3 a.m. L.A. time. So I was just like sitting down, preparing, falling asleep a little bit ... I wasn't really, like, in tune. I didn't really know what was going on, and then that's when like the meme started happening."

The 14-year-old actress frequently retweets her favorite memes with the pic, and she's down to star in more memes in the future. Specifically, memes with Beyoncé.

"Beyoncé's like my secret mother. I love her, so I would say a meme with her," Jackson said.
