In the five years since releasing her self esteem–boosting anthem “Who Says,” Selena Gomez has probably performed it live dozens, if not hundreds, of times. But that doesn’t mean the song’s triumphant spirit can’t still move Sel to tears... especially when her loyal fans up the emotional ante with the goddamn cutest fan project.

During her Revival Tour concert in Montreal on Thursday night, Selena threw it back to 2011 by performing “Who Says,” but just before the final chorus, her voice broke and she was moved to tears. That’s because fans in the crowd were holding up homemade signs that read “We are worth it,” and they dutifully finished the song as Sel shook her head in awe of their sweet gesture.

After the song finished, Sel told the crowd, “I don’t know what to say. Thank you... Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or now, it’s just been such a crazy ride because you’ve seen me go through my ups and downs and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
