Watch Amy Schumer Get Catfished By Ferret Enthusiast Jake Gyllenhaal

You've never seen Jake Gyllenhaal like this before

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Catfish, it’s that people on the internet aren’t always who they claim to be. So when Amy Schumer found a dude claiming to be Jake Gyllenhaal in a chat room for ferret enthusiasts, she was understandably suspicious.

That’s the hilarious scenario that plays out in Katfish, a new sketch from Schumer’s Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer. It’s one giant spoof of MTV’s Catfish, featuring Nev Schulman and Max Joseph-like characters whose shirts weirdly keep getting smaller and smaller. The comedian calls upon their expertise because being targeted by an Oscar-nominated actor is a “major red flag.” Only, when they all show up to his fancy townhouse, they find it really was Gyllenhaal all along.

Things get weirder and weirder as the bit goes on, and it all ends with a hilarious Gyllenhaal rant, some frankly worrisome ferret flailing, and a bunch of hot Chinatown garbage. You have to see it to believe it:

As for real-life Nev and Max, they had the best possible reactions to Schumer’s bit, tweeting their steadfast approval:
