A decade after releasing her debut solo album The Dutchess, Fergie is (finally!) back.
The Black Eyed Peas singer released a video teaser on Friday, previewing a track from her new album, rumored to be titled Double Dutchess. “They know that I’m a problem, that’s why everybody scared,” she sings/threatens on the menacing track, before warning, “Girl up in the mirror, only one I fear, uh/ You say you the realest, I told you I’m the illest.”
The black-and-white visual features shots of Ferg sneering and chopping off her own hair, male backup dancers throwing punches, and shots of lightning and flames. The beat goes berserk at the tail end of the minute-long clip, as Fergie concludes by claiming she’s “hungry... still hungry.” She’s back and she means business, y’all.
Fergie mysteriously titled the teaser “3... 2... 1...,” giving us exactly zero further information about when to expect her new material. But with several shows scheduled in Europe this summer, it’s safe to say we should all be on our toes.
