It's April 27, and we are still trying to wrap our heads around the news that Prince — beautiful, singular Prince — is no longer on this planet. We can't stop thinking or talking about him, so we gathered for a second chapter of Dearly Beloved, our very special Prince podcast. In this chapter, we focus on Prince's rich history of collaboration and his presence on the big screen. Recording engineer Tom Garneau, who worked at Paisley Park from 1989 through 1996, shares his memories of working with Prince on hundreds of songs — most of which went unreleased. We also have a discussion with MTV News writers Molly Lambert, Doreen St. Félix, and Meredith Graves about the women Prince elevated through his generous collaborative spirit. And MTV News's chief film critic, Amy Nicholson, joins pop culture writer Teo Bugbee for a lively conversation about the films Prince made, from Purple Rain to Under the Cherry Moon and beyond.
